Finally an App for 1st Timers to Skiing and Snowboarding! This latest App in the SkiTips series is intended as a comprehensive introduction to Winter Sports for those heading to the mountains for the first time. The App introduces the newbie to all aspects of a skiing or snowboarding vacation – including what clothes and equipment to get, what to expect at the resort, how the resort functions and how the learning process develops. It also contains a wealth of information on the many different ski areas around the world including photos, maps and web-sites. Get this App and youll be a skiing and snowboarding expert in no time at all!

The SkiTips series of Ski Teaching Apps sets new standards in Sports instruction, enabling skiers for the first time to take all of their instructional media out on the slopes with them. In addition to this 1st Timers App there are three principal Teaching Apps, SkiTips 1, SkiTips 2 and SkiTips 3 which respectively cater for beginers thru intermediates, intermediates thru advanced and then advanced skiers going off-piste and ski-touring.

Based on Martin Heckelmans renowned "Ski Tips" series of Books, Videos and DVDs the Ski Teaching Apps have been especially developed for use on the mountain. Ergonomic considerations lie at the heart of the design: the video content maximises contrast in bright light; large buttons and bold text guide the user through the various sections and chapters, while every screen has a text flip screen to further orient and assist. (it is even possible to hit the target with your nose - although you may want to take it easy with the sun cream!).

The 3 Teaching Apps have been created as both a self-teaching aide and as a supplement to ski lessons. If you are having lessons, we recommend that you watch the App before your lessons and then use the App afterwards to practice what you were taught during your lessons.

The Apps also break new ground in the range of instruction available. You can read the background, context and logic of a particular lesson; you can then watch a video clip that teaches how to perform the technique and you can then put the device in your pocket & practice it yourself with the aid of an Audio Loop which guides you down the mountain repeating the instruction (so you don’t need to look at the video) – exactly as though your Instructor were right there beside you. Nothing less than a full immersion!

The teaching Apps contains a wealth of instruction with a User Interface which is simplicity itself – essential when out braving the elements. In addition to 25-30 individual lessons on each App, a set of focussed Programs is offered, where the skier can concentrate on improving specific skiing skills or correcting problems or simply mix it up.
